Sun Receives DEPSCoR Grant
University of South Dakota Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Dr. Haoran Sun has been awarded a Department of Defense Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (DEPSCoR) research grant. Sun’s research project is entitled “Fluorinated Materials for Air-stable and Moisture Resistant Flexible Optoelectronics.”
“I view this as an exciting opportunity to explore the new fluorinated materials and its applications in national defense as well as daily life,” commented Sun. “There is still a long way to go before we see the real world applications, but we are working hard and hope the research gets us closer to that goal.”
