South Dakota Students Honored at the 12th Annual Research Poster Session

On Tuesday, February 17th, nine students from South Dakota universities were honored for their research at the 12th annual Student Research Poster Session. The research projects
were presented to legislators, state officials, and the public. This year’s poster session had a different look from past events by selecting students from South Dakota Universities
and Colleges to be honored while presenting their research. Students were selected by the six regental universities, tribal colleges, SD EPSCoR, and the South Dakota Biomedical
Research Infrastructure Network (BRIN).

“It is important for our state policy-makers to be able to witness first-hand the outcomes of an enhanced research culture on our education system,” said South Dakota Board
of Regents Executive Director and System CEO, Dr. Robert T. Tad Perrty. “At the same time it is important for students to learn more about how decisions related to higher education,
including support for research are made.”
