Launch '08 Reimbursements
South Dakota EPSCoR is again offering stipends and reimbursement dollars to educators that attend Launch ’08. An educator may apply for both the classroom registration reimbursement and the entrepreneurship integration stipend.

• Classroom Registration Reimbursement
To receive registration reimbursement educators must attend Launch ’08 and chaperone one of their classes to the conference. In order to receive the reimbursement the educator must register as a “classroom.” Reimbursements are available on a first come, first serve basis and is limited to 200 individuals.
In order to qualify educators must:
» Commit to chaperoning 5 or more students to Launch '08 (Individual reimbursement does not apply.)
» Register as classroom REGISTER HERE
» Attend Launch '08 (February 28, 2008 in Mitchell, SD)
Please Note: There is a 2 week cancellation policy. If you register for the conference as a classroom and due to unforeseen circumstances will not be able to attend you must contact either South Dakota EPSCoR Office before February 14th, 2008. If you do not cancel you will be billed for registration costs. You will be contacted one month prior to the conference for a full list of the individuals who will be attending the conference
• Entrepreneurship Integration Stipend
Launch '08 is about creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields are closely integrated into these components. To demonstrate this, South Dakota EPSCoR will offer an educator, from any academic field or study, $1,000 to demonstrate and teach this through their curriculum.
In order to receive this stipend the following criteria must be met:
» Attend Launch '08 (February 28, 2008 in Mitchell, SD)
» Integrate STEM innovation and entrepreneurship into curriculum
» Provide a detailed report to the SD EPSCoR Office

Submit a one-page letter of intent to the South Dakota EPSCoR Office along with the stipend application. The letter should include initial ideas and thoughts on how to integrate entrepreneurship into your class curriculum. Those who successfully identify ideas and commitment to implement curriculum changes to integrate STEM innovation and entrepreneurship into the classroom will be considered for a $1,000 stipend.
