South Dakota EPSCoR has supported undergraduate internships in the past. The internships are designed to give students a better understanding of the impact research has on our lives and how research affects technology based economic development (TBED). Interns have been hired in the areas of:
“The goal of this internship program is to develop voices which can speak to the importance of research and an entrepreneurial culture in a 21st century economy. These students have had the chance to experience the sense of exploration and discovery and then help us communicate it.”
