Howard Woodard

Professor Woodard has a split-research and teaching appointment
in crop nutrition and soil fertility. He conducts field-oriented research
that investigates nutrient-use efficiency in soybean and wheat;
soil-nutrient availability with tillage practices in corn, soybean,
and wheat; protein and yield enhancement with post-emergence
foliar nutrient applications in wheat; and nutrient recycling effects
with tillage practices in multi-crop rotations. His teaching responsibilities
include teaching a course in Soil Fertility and Fertilizers (PS-323) each
spring semester and Soil N,P, and K (PS-744) for graduate students
every other spring semester. He also assists in teaching the Geology Field Lab
(PS-244) each fall
semester. Dr. Woodard maintains the

Dr. Woodard serves as Plant Science Department Graduate Coordinator and chairs
the Graduate
Application Screening Committee.
