Jiyul Chang is a post-doctoral research associate in Plant Science
Department, South Dakota State University. He have worked for precision
agriculture project that included (i) describing spatial and temporal
variability of soil nutrients (NO3-N and P) and crop (corn and soybean)
yields using spatial statistics, (ii) determining nutrient management zone
boundaries using soil nutrient and crop yield variability and GIS, and (iii)
evaluating remote sensing data (aerial and satellite images) to estimate
crop yields using image processing and multivariate analysis. As a
post-doctoral research associate, he is working for cross-linking
calibration of IKONOS and Landsat images for agricultural purpose (NASA-EPSCoR),
and linking remote sensing data and ground scouting data (soil, crop, and
weed) through GIS modeling.
