Ph.D. South Dakota State University 1978 Dr. Carlson's duties are split equally among
research, teaching and extension activities. His areas of specialty
include salinity & water resources. He coordinates with the SD Association
of Conservation Districts to organize Soil and Moisture Clinics. He
evaluates water analysis and recommends management practices to insure
sustainable irrigation. He also presents educational material on
minimizing the impact of agronomic practices on surface and ground water
