   Ph.D. South Dakota State University 1979

   Professor Boe's area of research is forage breeding. His program has
   developed and released native legume cultivars and involves (i) evaluating
   and breeding switchgrass for biomass/biofuel in the northern Great Plains,
   and (ii) studying the reproductive biology of native legumes. Dr. Boe's
   teaching responsibilities include Introductory Crop Production (PS 103) and
   Forage Crops and Pasture Management (PS 313). He has served on two
   Regional Technical Advisory Committees (NC-7 and NE-144), the ASA
   Outstanding Teacher Selection Committee, and SDSU Plant Science
   Executive Committee
